Say I Love You Without Speaking
Whenever I read a story about how to say “I Love You” I think of the Seinfeld episode where George spewed out his Love words, and then there was silence.
I have to say, a VERY long time ago, this happened to me and, even though I hate to admit it, I was the one who was silent, because I had no clue we were to this point yet. It really is embarrassing for both parties.
The truth is that love is such an intense and unique feeling that it is often impossible to express or understand. When you say I love you for the first time, you will feel the intensity. However, the words can quickly lose their meaning, especially if you use them frequently.
There are many ways however to say I love you without even speaking. Take a look at these three bona fide ways to tell someone that you love them. When you get creative with your love, you may find it much more fulfilling.
With Words
The traditional way to get the point of love across is to say I love you. This is very effective in many cases. In fact, you don’t only have to say those three words, but can follow up with an explanation of sorts. You can tell the person what you love about them and give them compliments.
In fact, giving compliments is a great way to verbalize your love, without ever really saying love you. Keep it all positive of course. Don’t ever be negative when you are telling someone how great they are.
With Gifts
Another way you can show your love is with a gift. This works differently for different people. Some women relish the gifts they are given and expect expensive items. Others would rather not get expensive gifts. Some women love gifts from the heart. It’s a tough one and not one that is easily explained. If you have been with the person long enough, you should be able to tell what kind of gift would be perfect for that person.
Sometimes purchasing a gift is not always the best thing. Something you have thought a lot about is a great thing. If you are good at making things, like photo collages, you will earn even more points.
Write a song or a poem and you will get the ultimate rownie point. Be creative and giving gifts will help you express your love. It’s always reasonable to start with flowers and work your way up, if you have doubts.
With Gestures
The best way to follow up an I love you is to show your love that you genuinely care. This may mean sacrificing yourself for their needs. If it is raining and you know they must go out for lunch, think about bringing them lunch at work (that would definitely be the way to my heart!) If you know they are ill, take them chicken soup and sit with them all day as they cough and sneeze. Just being there when they need you is the best way to prove your love for someone.
So, as you can see, saying love you doesn’t have to stop with those three words. Sure, saying it does get the point across. But you have to do more to follow through.
Anyone can say the “words” – but you should go one step further and do something special and thoughtful, with gifts and gestures that say the words for you.
