Great (and Inexpensive) Places to Take a Date

Now that you have a date, you have to decide what to do!  Thinking of where to go on a date can be real challenge. To spare you the trouble of thinking where to go, here are five great places to go when on a date.

The park. Going to the park is cheap. In fact, you probably won’t pay a dime to get into the park itself. But remember to take a couple of bucks for whatever food you get which will probably be hotdogs, ice cream, or some other light treat.

The park is a good place for nature lovers and those who really enjoy the open air. You might even consider a picnic in the park it can be very romantic if you plan it well. It also can be as long as you want it to be, or as short (if needed).

A fancy restaurant. A fancy restaurant usually means an expensive restaurant, and if you have the money, you should bring your date to one. (Candlelight dinner, anyone?) You can even dress up formally and have fun with that particular aspect of the date.  Although, this might not be the best bet for a first date.  See if the person likes to dress-up, or would rather go somewhere more comfortable.

If you don’t have much money, you can go to a relatively less expensive place, but make sure that it is not a place you go very commonly. The goal here is to create a new and unique experience for both you and your date.  Either way, if you have an Entertainment Book for your area, you could get two meals for the price of one!

The beach. If you’re lucky enough to live on the sunny side, the beach is another dating destination. Here, you will probably be able to see your date in very attractive beach attaire.  Like the park, the beach is a great place for nature lovers – the sand and surf can really calm one’s mind.

A sports game. Of course, you should only go to a sports game if your date is willing. She will probably only want to go if she is a sports fan herself.  You always want to find something that will build common interests between the two of you.  On the downside, you should be prepared to spend some money, tickets and stadium food can add up to a lot of cash.

The movies. I’m putting this last because even though this is one of the most common dating places, and one of the most popular, it’s not the best bet for two reasons.  1)  You will not get to talk much, 2) You won’t be able to hold hands at the movie because you don’t really know the person yet..

However, Taking your date to the movies has the advantages of being relatively inexpensive, and easily accessible.  If it is a movie that both of you can enjoy, it can make for a very romantic experience.

There you have it – five very nice things to do on a date.

Good Luck!
