What are the rules/safety about phone calls. I’m interested in a  guy I met on Match,and he emailed me his phone number to call him. Hmm, not sure what to do….please advise….. Thank you

When you’re dating via the Online Dating scene, it’s OK to call a person, just don’t give out your home phone number at first — or very much information at all.  You should get to know each other before you give out your number. Even if the other person has no problem with it. If I were you, I would be more careful.  Use your cell phone number instead of a home phone number.

How about this?  Go to http://www.google.com/talk/ and download that software.  You’ll need a microphone or USB headphones, but then you can talk through your computer!

All you need to do is email beforehand and make sure they are ready to get on-line.  OR, make a date to chat.  Then just make the call using the googletalk software (you actually “call” a email address!), and you’ll be talking just like you were on the phone.

It’s really a great tool!
