British TV Reports on Internet Dating

Match.comDid you know that even British television got into the Internet dating reporting game.  They pointed out that women should consider Internet romance because it left them more control and more power in the early relationship, with the safety of Internet anonymity.

Some professionals point out that Internet dating enhances shy peoples’ chances of finding their soul mate. Those who wouldn’t go up to a new woman or man in a bar or other social situation can do so comfortably on the Web.

Of course, the drawback is there is no initial way to know if the person on the online dating site is being truthful. They could be married, incarcerated, abusive, and so forth.

Their picture might not even be their picture. (wow!  So many negatives; but it’s just a warning that with millions of people surfing on Match and ePersonals, there’s bound to be some bad apples!) When you consider trying an Internet romance just know that you have to probe – get to the truth with phone calls, and/or non-threatening initial public meetings.

Most of the time, you will be able to pick out a scammer from their profile. Those idiots aren’t very smart; some of them even use the same photo of some middle-aged man or woman!  When you get the same photo with different names attached, you know something’s not right.

So, if you try finding your Internet romance?” just be wise, watchful, skeptical and willing to verify if needed.  Most of the time, everything will go as planned and you will not have to use Match’s guarantee if you don’t find someone in six months.
